Airbus Global Market Forecast 2017

 

Airbus has released the latest edition of its annual long-term forecast about orders and deliveries in the commercial aircraft market.

The Airbus Global Market Forecast 2017, for the period out to 2036, predicts a need for 34,899 commercial aircraft during the period.

The company predicts the Asia-Pacific region will be the big growth area, taking 41% of new deliveries, more than Europe (20%) and North America (16%).

The company says 70% of the demand for new aircraft will be for single-aisles, equating to 24,810 aircraft, and predicts a need for 10,100 widebodies.
