Today, June 19, on the opening morning of the Paris Air Show, Boeing formally launched the 737 MAX 10, another new variant of the 737 MAX family.
The 737 MAX 10 is a 66in stretch of the 737 MAX 9, with changes including a variable exit limit rating mid-exit door, a lighter flat aft pressure bulkhead and a modified wing for low speed drag reduction.
Boeing claims the aircraft will be the most efficient single-aisle ever flown and says it will offer 5% lower trip costs and 5% lower seat-mile costs than the Airbus A321neo, its direct competitor.
The company says it has more than 240 orders and commitments secured from more than 10 customers worldwide.
Customers will be announcing order details throughout the Paris Air Show week, Boeing said.
Opening-day commitments came from GECAS, BOC Aviation and CDB Leasing and TUI Group.
