Russian Helicopters Ka-226T Iran Tests

Russian Helicopters together with Iran Helicopters Support and Renewal Company will undertake hot weather testing of the Ka-226T light utility helicopter in Iran.

The tests will be conducted on the Iranian company’S site within the framework of a memorandum signed by the parties at the HeliRussia-2017 earlier this year.

The Ka-226T Iran tests have already and will continue until the end of August. The tests will assess the usability of the Ka-226T at ambient temperatures of up to 50°C.

This will be followed in September by a conference in Iran to show potential customers the test results, as well as specifics of the Ka-226T operation.

The light utility helicopter Ka-226T has a coaxial twin-rotor system, a maximum takeoff weight is 3.6 tonnes and is able to transport up to one of payload.
