Airbus Helicopters has announced its H145M recently completed its first flight with a complete HForce Weapons System from the company’s Donauwörth facility.

The HForce Weapons System enables the H145M to be equipped with armaments such as missiles and laser guided rockets, guns, machine guns and rockets. The qualification of HForce for use on the H145M is planned for 2018.

Jean-Luc André, HForce Programme Manager at Airbus Helicopters, said: “The next steps prior to qualification include a firing campaign, testing the whole fire mission spectrum through guns, cannons and rockets in Hungary as well as tests on the laser-guided rockets in Sweden before the end of the year.”

The Republic of Serbia will be the launch customer for the H145M with the HForce Weapons System – it has ordered nine H145Ms, four of which will have HForce.

Other customers for the H145M include the German Armed Forces and Thailand.
