UH-72A Lakota Deliveries: 400th Example Handed Over

Airbus Helicopters has delivered the 400th UH-7A Lakota to the US Army.

The UH-72A Lakota is a twin-engine helicopter used by US Army and US Army National Guard for various missions including flight training, surveillance and reconnaissance, medical evacuation, border security, VIP transport and disaster response.

The UH-72As are assembled at the Airbus Helicopters Inc facility in Columbus, Missouri by a workforce that is more than 40 percent US military veterans.

Since the Lakota’s introduction, the Army and National Guard units have flown more than 460,000 hours.
