The airline’s twice daily service took off today, giving passengers more opportunities to connect with the British capital
EasyJet has launched its new service today (July 12) between Belfast/City and London/Gatwick.
The new route has begun running twice daily.
“We are thrilled to welcome easyJet to Belfast City Airport, providing passengers with more opportunities to reconnect with business colleagues in person, catch up with family and friends, or enjoy a weekend break in London,” said Katy Best, commercial director at Belfast City Airport.
“We now have a portfolio of 26 destinations across the UK and Europe, which are served by a record number of airline partners in the airport’s history.”
Aly Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, added: “These routes further strengthen our network from Northern Ireland and provide more connectivity for our customers whether they are reuniting with loved ones, connecting for business, or want to explore more of the UK this summer.”
Following the previous government travel review on June 24, the airline placed an additional 50,000 seats on sale to green list destinations, including Malta and the Balearics Islands.
