The new appointee will be responsible for managing Emirates Group’s associate relationships, as well as other operations
The Emirates Group has appointed Steve Allen as the new executive vice president of global air services provider, dnata.
He will be responsible for all dnata’s business which covers ground handling, catering and travel over six continents. The role also entails taking on the responsibility of managing Emirates Group’s relationships with its associate businesses, which include MMI, Emirates CAE Flight Training and Premier Inn.
Within the new role, Allen will continue to report to Gary Chapman, president of group services and dnata, until he retires later this month. From then, he will report directly to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the chairman and chief executive of Emirates Airline and Group.

Allen has been working for the group for 12 years, taking on both operational and support roles. He has been overseeing dnata’s ground handling operations since 2016, as well as looking after the airport hospitality services in the UAE as the divisional senior vice president.
Over the past nine months, he has been leading the company’s travel business and ongoing transformation. Before joining Emirates, Allen worked for British Airways for 16 years in financial, regional and operational roles.
