Plaza Premium Group expands presence in Latin America

The facility becomes the group’s second in South America alongside Rio De Janeiro, with more locations set to be unveiled in the future  

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) has announced the opening of a lounge at Brazil’s Sao Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) in mid-September.  

The lounge, based at the busiest airport in Latin America, will operate as an independent lounge and be located at the domestic departure area, covering 1530sqm and accommodating up to 335 passengers.

The space will offer cable TV, showers and private meeting rooms as well as various dining options including warm dishes, appetisers, fresh food and soft and alcoholic beverages. 

The aim is to subtly immerse travellers in the local culture through the features and offerings while the lounge is equipped with the latest technology and essential amenities for those who want to work and those who want to relax, says the company.

Plaza Premium Group has also recently formed a partnership with Avianca Airline to expand its market presence in Latin America, in which 9 lounges within Avianca’s portfolio will become part of the PPG global lounge network by 2022.
