Iván Nash Vila has been announced as a new Swissport CFO
Iván Nash Vila has been chosen by Swissport as its new chief financial officer and member of the executive leadership team.
The appointment, along with the recent nomination of Christopher Rayner as the firm’s chief HR officer, completes the firm’s renewal of its executive leadership team after the creation of a new shareholder structure.
Nash Vila is expected to take up the role on October 1 and will join Swissport International. He succeeds Alexander Gradow, head of financial planning and analysis, who had been acting as interim chief financial officer since August.
The new CFO will report to Warwick Brady, president and CEO of Swissport International.
Brady commented: "We are pleased to have Iván join Swissport as CFO. Iván has a proven track record in key finance roles, including over ten years as a CFO and experience from M&A to operational finance. He draws on years of international management experience and, with his background, is ideally equipped for this role and the future development of Swissport."
Having previously served as CFO of Endemol Shine Group in Amsterdam, Nash Vila was with Liberty Global in several senior roles, most recently as CFO for Switzerland, Austria and Central and Eastern Europe.
During his time in Liberty Global, he also served as director of mergers and acquisitions and head of group financial planning and investor relations Europe.
"Together with our regional business leaders, we now have a capable and effective senior management team in place to successfully tackle the tasks ahead," Brady added.
"Our customers will be front and center in our efforts to form the undisputed global market leader and go-to brand for global aviation ground services."
Nash Vila holds an MBA from the London Business School and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, USA
