Swissport expands airline contracts in Asia

Agreements with Air France, KLM and Air Calin have been renewed at Tokyo Narita and have expanded to Haneda and Seoul/Incheon, South Korea

Swissport is expanding its presence in Asia by establishing key partnerships in Japan and South Korea with Lufthansa, Cathay Pacific, FedEx Express Korea, Air France and KLM.

The aviation company has also been providing cargo handling services to Air France and KLM at Seoul Incheon in South Korea and ground amenities to Air France at Tokyo Haneda since June.

Two daily flights will be supported by Swissport at Haneda Airport and 25,000 tonnes of freight per year is expected to be handled by the company at Incheon International.

Daily flights operated by Air France and KLM from Narita are already supported by the organisation. This builds upon the strong relationship between the airlines and aviation firm, as it already provides resources to the carriers across 33 hubs in 12 countries.

In South Korea, the company has extended its existing relationship with Lufthansa Cargo and Cathay Pacific, as well as its more than ten-year partnership with FedEx Express.

“This is a great achievement for Swissport Korea, and we are honoured to continue to provide our exceptional services and be a reliable partner to our valued customer airlines,” said Toralf Sonntag, Swissport senior vice president, Asia.

Similarly, the company offers Seoul Airport freighter ramp services to Lufthansa Cargo and passenger amenities to Cathay Pacific.
